Going on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is becoming more and more expensive — food prices increase, resorts get more expensive, and theme park tickets seem to go up in price every year. Many Guests save up for years in order to travel to the Most Magical Place on Earth. However, if you travel at a certain time and stay at certain resorts, you may be able to save a fair amount of money.
Disney recently revealed that regular ticket holders will be able to save up to $100 per night at select resorts if they travel to Walt Disney World from March through July. Since school Spring Breaks and Summer vacations happen during this time, the savings can really add up for a family looking to fit a Disney vacation into their budget. It is important to note that the savings are based on the tier hotel you stay at — Deluxe Resort Guests save the most and savings decrease with Moderate and Value Resorts.
Disney did not want to leave Annual Passholders out in the cold and without the hotel discounts they know and love. Disney also announced that between January and March, Annual Passholders could save up to 25% at select Walt Disney World Resorts.
The savings announcement drove thousands of Guests to the Walt Disney World Resort website to see what kind of savings they could get for the vacations they have been waiting to book. All day, Guests going to the Disney World website have had to wait more than an hour to look at the hotel savings and discounts. The Disney World phone lines weren’t much better with one Guest commenting that he had been on hold with a Disney World Cast Member for more than 4 hours to book his Disney vacation.
There has never been a better time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, as the 50th Anniversary celebration is in full swing. Guests can head to Magic Kingdom Park and watch the new fireworks show, Disney Enchantment. Over at EPCOT a new nighttime show, Harmonious, wows Guests with beautiful music, water art, and fireworks, and there is also the brand-new attraction Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in the France Pavilion.
Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration will run until March 2023, so whether you decide to go to Disney World now or 6 months from now, you will still be able to experience all of the magic — and delicious food — the anniversary has to offer.
