If you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World, make sure to keep an eye out for these enchanting balloons. They are not just inflatable decorations; they are a part of the magic that makes Disney World a truly unforgettable destination for families and Disney enthusiasts alike.

As wonderful as Disney World balloons are, in all of their shapes and sizes, there is one problem: how do you get them home, especially if you’re flying out of Orlando? Rest easy, friends; we’ve got a hack that will ensure that pricey, yet magical, ball of helium makes its way with you back home.

Where to Buy Disney World Balloons

Disney Springs, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios all share one thing in common at Walt Disney World: they sell balloons! Hollywood Studios has it if you’re looking for BB-8 from Star Wars. Maybe it’s a light-up balloon with Elsa and Anna; you’ll find that at the Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs. These voluptuous beauties are literally everywhere, and they aren’t difficult to spot. Likely, you’ll encounter a Cast Member wrangling 50 or so of the massive keepsakes ready to make your trip even more magical!

It’s important to note that you won’t find balloons for sale at Disney’s Animal Kingdom; everywhere else, they reign supreme. Heck, some lucky website members have even been privy to special limited-release balloons with their reward points. Around Disney Park, you’ll likely find a balloon fit just for you as they often come in all different shapes and sizes, designed with different characters, some with blinking lights, and others shaped like Mickey. We promise there’s a balloon out there for you.

However, for several reasons, some people forgo the Walt Disney World Resort balloon. First and foremost, they’re pricey. According to multiple sources, basic balloons sell for $13.00, while specialty balloons max out at around $17.00. That’s not necessarily the biggest issue, as most know that anything and everything at Walt Disney World, including a Mickey balloon, will be expensive.

Why Balloons Make a Good Souvenir at Disney

Although pricey compared to typical balloons, Disney World balloons are also a notable nuisance for many to deal with after purchasing. As magical as a Disney balloon is, even if you attach them to a stroller, they can be a pain to deal with during your stay as you jump from queue to queue and ride to ride.

Attempting to enjoy Rise of Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios could be a nightmare with a balloon, or trying to enjoy a nice character dining experience at one of the many Disney restaurants you’ll find all over the place. So, what do you do with it?

We promise, despite what you may think, a Disney balloon at Walt Disney World is actually a good idea. It makes for a wonderful souvenir and could fit wonderfully in a deflated scrapbook. However, wait until closer to your trip’s end to purchase one, however.

Still, if you and the rest of your Disney family have flown into Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll likely face another challenge for those oversized Disney souvenirs.

Disney World Balloons are a Challenge, We Understand

The iconic balloons offered at the parks can add to the magical experience when visiting Disney World. However, certain challenges come with having a balloon in tow. One of the main difficulties is maneuvering through crowds. The parks can get incredibly busy, especially during peak times, making navigating with a large balloon cumbersome.

Another issue is the potential for the balloon to obstruct views during shows, parades, or fireworks displays. Given the limited sight lines in certain areas, holding a balloon can block the view for yourself and those around you, impacting the overall experience.

Furthermore, balloons are susceptible to popping or floating away, causing distress, especially for young visitors. Losing a beloved balloon can lead to disappointment and tears, turning a joyful moment into a sad one.

Lastly, carrying balloons through the airport or bagging them correctly without destroying them is another big reason many families forgo purchasing a Disney World balloon. This leads many to assume they’re nothing more than a scam! But wait, we promise…there’s an answer!
