Exciting Video Shows an Eerily Empty Frontierland as Construction Begins on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

It’s finally happened: Splash Mountain has closed its doors forever, and in a year, the attraction will reopen as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Fans are still divided, with one half feeling devastated over the loss of a classic attraction while the other is indescribably excited to see Princess Tiana get her own ride.

You’ve also probably heard by now that construction for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure began before Splash Mountain had officially closed. Walt Disney World Resort is wasting no time giving Princess Tiana the spotlight, so she can “take [her] place in the sun,” and references to the new attraction have already begun popping up all over Magic Kingdom.

As you might expect, Magic Kingdom’s Splash Kingdom scored record-high wait times during its last day of operation, and everyone in the Park was trying to catch a ride down the log flume one last time. For once, the famous “Laughing Place” was filled with tears as Guests and Cast Members experienced Splash Mountain one last time.

Magic Kingdom was filled, and Frontierland was the hub of it all. Videos began popping up all over different social media websites, showing just how full the themed land became as Guests waited in long lines to take the plunge while they still could.

However, just a single day after the attraction has closed, Frontierland is eerily empty. One Guest uploaded a video showing the construction walls, the attraction with no water, and ropes closing off the attraction entrances. But even though the themed land is empty, you can feel the excitement for a new attraction in the air!

Isn’t that contrast crazy? In just one day, Frontierland went from most popular to totally empty! That being said, we’re positive that it won’t stay empty forever and that the lines will soon be full again as Guests wait for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure!
