If you’re an Annual Passholder to Walt Disney World, you know a thing or two about getting your hands on those freebies that Disney often drops throughout the year. One of the most popular offerings that see Passholders hit the parks in full force is the promise of new magnets to adorn your refrigerator at home. Annual Passholder magnets have become a sub-culture in themselves, featuring many of our favorite characters, inciting intense collections and trading online. Each year, Disney World rolls out a few new options, with the latest being Figment, Dumbo, and Orange Bird. Typically, these magnets can be picked up while visiting EPCOT or Disney Springs, sometimes utilizing a virtual queue system as they can be in very high demand. Annual Passholder magnets even see insane resale prices online as some can’t make it to the parks in time to pick theirs up.

Although Disney World has given its Annual Passholders plenty of popular designs in the past, one character that has never graced the AP magnets may be finding its way to the parks very soon! It seems, according to Scott Gustin on Twitter, that Disney World has teased its next Annual Passholder magnet, and this one is sure to have guests lining up for blocks to get their hands on it. In a recent post, Disney dropped the teaser: “Walt Disney World Presents, New Magnet, Coming Soon” earlier today, and fans were quick to point out that its black and white style could only mean one thing: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

Although this is clearly speculation at this point, all signs seem to be pointing to “Yes!” As Scott points out, he’s betting that we’ll all “get lucky,” and the magnet will feature the predecessor of Mickey Mouse, Oswald. Oswald, famously created by Walt Disney, was a feature character early on in the young days of The Walt Disney Company. Although the rights to the characters are owned by Disney today, that was only sometimes the case, as Walt Disney was once tricked out of the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, ultimately leading to the creation of Mickey Mouse. As Oswald has been a featured character during the celebration of Disney’s 100th year of animation, it makes perfect sense that he’d find his way onto a special Annual Passholder magnet this year!

As the Disney 100 continues, Annual Passholders can enjoy discounts and exclusive merchandise over the next year. The celebration has included a ton of traditional Disney designs highlighting the likes of Oswald, Steamboat Willie, and other black and white Disney characters. However, including Oswald on a magnet may be just enough to drive AP holders back to the parks despite the rest of the Disney 100 not resonating well with guests. If this sharp guess regarding Oswald the Lucky Rabbit being highlighted on an AP magnet is true, then go ahead and start planning your next park day, and be sure to stay tuned, as we’ll let you know as soon as we have dates and times to pick up the Oswald Annual Passholder Magnet, including where it will be available.
