Disney World Fans Are Not Happy With All The Disneyland Excitement

Not long ago, Disney announced that nighttime shows like Fantasmic! and World of Color would soon be coming back to Disneyland Resort. They also shared that the Main Street Electrical Parade would also be coming back to The Happiest Place on Earth. While return dates were not initially announced, we now know that Disneyland Forever fireworks, World of Color, and the Main Street Electrical Parade will return on April 22. Fantasmic! will return on May 28.

Disneyland fans were excited to hear that, not only would the Main Street Electrical Parade would be coming back, but it would be coming back revamped. The parade will now have a float dedicated to Disney’s newest hit movie, Encanto. There will also be new electrical components to honor other Pixar films like Coco. All of these announcements came in conjunction with the Disneyland trams making their highly-anticipated return.

While those who visit Disneyland were excited to hear all the exciting reveals, Disney World fans were less than amused. Disney World still has not had parades return — except for a few days at Christmas — Fantasmic! still has no return date, and the trams are only at Magic Kingdom and the Ticket and Transportation Center. Fans have also been less than impressed with the 50th fireworks show, Disney Enchantment.

Not long after Disneyland’s good news, Twitter was flooded by tweets from Disney World fans, who feel they may be being ignored. One of those people was Brandon (@iBrandonHolmes) who begged for a nighttime parade at the Magic Kingdom.

WHAT. ABOUT. WALT. DISNEY. WORLD. MY GOD PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD BRING BACK A NIGHT TIME PARADE FOR MAGIC KINGDOM. THANK YOU.

Heather (@DznyGrlSD) felt that Walt Disney World is not getting fair treatment.

WTF??!!! BE FAIR TO FLORIDA!!!!!!

Sav (@savaemazz) shared that she doesn’t feel Disney is really doing anything to celebrate the 50th at Walt Disney World at this time. Since the celebration’s kick-off in October, many Guests have felt that Disney Enchantment and Harmonious — EPCOT’s nighttime show — are subpar in terms of what should have been created to honor 50 years of Disney World magic.

I’ve said this so many times but I’ll say it again: WDW isn’t even celebrating a 50th at this point.

Some Disney World fans were very vocal about their disappointment, but Disneyland fans were having none of it. Disneyland Resort is just around 500 acres, while Walt Disney World is around 25,000 acres. Disneyland has two theme parks, while Disney World has four theme parks and two water parks. Disney Springs is also significantly larger than Downtown Disney.

Tyler (@AttractFaction) was quick to point out a lot of those facts — many of which made him lack sympathy for those who frequently visit Disney World.

I see all the Florida people complain about a new parade float and I think to myself: You’ve got 4 theme parks, a dozen resorts, a hundred restaurants. Take a breath, you’ll be fine.

Jeremy (@JDeGeytere) was also not putting up with any Disney World complaints. When someone claimed that Disney executives hate Disney World, he responded:

Enchantment, Harmonious and Ratatouille last year, guardians of the galaxy cosmic rewind this year, Tron next year.

Disneyland gets OLD entertainment back and you guys act like the victim ? we’re excited for TRAMS, you’re getting roller coasters. We are not the same

Disney has shared that the other trams to EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios will return throughout the year. The Fantasmic! ampitheater is also undergoing massive refurbishment, so it will be better than ever when it reopens. EPCOT’s newest rollercoaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, will also reportedly open Memorial Day weekend, and work on TRON at Magic Kingdom is moving along.
