In just about one month, Disney fans from around the globe will gather in Anaheim to attend the Ultimate Fan Event — Disney’s D23 Expo. The D23 Expo will take place from September 9 – 11 and will feature a number of exciting panels that will tell us the future of The Walt Disney Company. At previous Expos, Disney shared news of the new Star Wars films, the building of Galaxy’s Edge, the transformation of EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort, and the building of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park at Disneyland Resort.
This year’s Expo is set to be an exciting one, kicking off with Disney100 — celebrating 100 years of The Walt Disney Company and a discussion of what they hope the next 100 years will bring. Disney had slowly been sharing news about the Expo, finally releasing their nearly full panel lineup just the other day. Now, they have confirmed that there will also be a celebration for another classic film starring Michael Caine — The Muppet Christmas Carol — which was released 30 years ago!
Disney shared the exciting Expo news on Twitter via the official Disney D23 account.

Here is more on the classic Christmas tale with a Muppets twist:
The Muppets’ rendition of Charles Dickens’ classic tale puts a unique twist on that fateful Christmas Eve, when Scrooge is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Together with kind, humble Bob Cratchit (Kermit the Frog) and his family, the Spirits open Scrooge’s eyes — and his heart — to the true meaning of Christmas.
If you would love to sing along to and relive this classic Christmas movie, it is currently available to stream on Disney+. There are also many other films and television shows featuring Jim Henson’s The Muppets, also on Disney+, including The Muppets, Muppets Most Wanted, Muppet Babies, The Muppet Show, A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa, Muppets Haunted Mansion, and The Great Muppet Caper.
