There are some Disney attractions that are so classic and beloved, they transcend the Disney park they originated from.
From Disneyland Park to Magic Kingdom, attractions such as the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad can be enjoyed on either side of the country.

Guests Know What to Expect Out of Classic Attractions
One of the nicest things about a classic Disney ride is that guests generally know what to expect. As in, the average classic attraction has mostly stayed the same due to how successful they are.
Even if you’ve never experienced an attraction, chances are that guests still know what to expect.
For example, guests knew that Splash Mountain had a big drop at the end, guests know that “it’s a small world” is a slow-moving boat ride (with an ultra repetitive song), etc., etc.
In short, there are usually no surprises when experiencing a classic Disney ride or roller coaster…except for freak accidents like these…

Recently, a pair of guests visited Disneyland Park and decided to get in line for one of the theme park’s most iconic roller coaster attractions ever. Â We’re talking, of course, about Space Mountain.
However, much to the guests’ surprise and dismay, they were unable to ride as the emergency lights began flashing and all guests were ushered toward the exits:

Reportedly, the roller coaster caught fire, causing the emergency lights to flash and the entire building to evacuate.
What Really Happened In Disneyland Park?
That being said, there has been very little to confirm an actual fire. Disneyland Resort hasn’t made any official comments on the situation, nor has there been any other coverage to suggest such an emergency.
Not only that, but according to Disneyland Resort’s official website, Space Mountain is operating normally.

Maybe it was a false alarm or a similar emergency? In any case, we’re glad to see the attraction is up and running again.
