Welcome Back! Another Disney Milestone Worth Celebrating

It’s a GREAT time to be a Disney fan! As we roll into 2022, we’re going through this first month with all sorts of Disney excitement. Of course, 2022 has been met with some COVID challenges such as one Disney Park closing due to the virus spread and cases spiking in Florida, but we’re also starting to see some Disney milestones being reached that are totally worth celebrating.

We’ve recently seen the reopening of Disney’s Flying Fish after 650 plus days of closure with several other Disney Resort restaurants reopening. Trams are back on the move once again. And we simply can’t wait for the return of the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom, along with more new and exciting Disney Park entertainment.

And now, a huge milestone for Walt Disney World Resort as Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa can once again officially be recognized for the “Spa” portion of its name. This Deluxe Disney Resort has welcomed back spa service at what is now called “Grand Floridian Spa“.

The Grand Floridian Spa has much of what would have been offered at the former “Senses Spa” in pre-COVID days. While masks are currently required indoors, Guests visiting the spa can take a moment to relax and unwind at this beautiful spa that reopened on January 26, 2022.

Disney Cast Members are celebrating the return by taking to social media! Walt Disney World Cast and Community shared to Facebook, “Ready to renew your mind, body and spirit? The Grand Floridian Spa is BACK at your service. Congratulations to the wonderful Cast who have made this milestone possible. Thank you for creating magic and relaxation for our Guests each and every day. #DisneyCastLife”
