Disney Confirmed a Virtual Queue for Bluey at Animal Kingdom and the Rules Are Specific

Bluey is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom on May 26, and if you have a child who watches the show, you already know this is not optional. What you might not know yet is that getting into the Disney experience requires a virtual queue, and the rules around it are specific enough that going in without understanding them could mean your family misses Bluey entirely, even if you’re at the park.

Disney just dropped everything families need to know. Here is what matters most.

The Virtual Queue Is the Only Way In

Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station is a virtual queue only when it opens on May 26. There is no standby line. Disney has said a standby queue will open at a later date, but for the initial opening period, the virtual queue through the My Disney Experience app is the only way to get a boarding group.

There are two windows to join and they work differently from each other.

The 7a.m. window opens to guests with valid admission and, if required, a theme park reservation for Animal Kingdom. The critical detail here is that you do not need to be inside the park at 7 a.m.. You can join from your hotel room, from home, or from wherever you happen to be when the clock hits seven. This is the window families should be targeting.

The 10 a.m. window is more restrictive. You need a valid admission, and you must already be physically inside Animal Kingdom when you join. If you missed the 7 a.m. window and are not in the park by 10 a.m., your options for that day are gone.

Set the alarm. Have the app open. Be ready at 7AM.

What the Disney Experience Actually Includes

Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station is an immersive experience featuring appearances by Bluey and Bingo, along with interactive versions of the Heeler family’s most famous games. Keepy Uppy and Magic Asparagus are both part of the experience, along with familiar music and a bubble finale to close out the fun.

The virtual queue also covers the Wildlife Express Train, Jumping Junction, and the Animal Care experiences at Conservation Station. All of these require a boarding group, and the train near Harambe Market in Africa is how you get there.

Jumping Junction is a new shared habitat featuring kangaroos and wallabies, both Australian marsupials that connect directly to Bluey’s home country. Conservation Station brings back the Veterinary Treatment Room, the Animal Nutrition Window, and the Amphibian, Reptile, and Invertebrate Windows alongside the Science Center.

The Food Worth Knowing About

Bluey-inspired food is available at multiple locations across Animal Kingdom. At Pizzafari on Discovery Island, Fairy Bread Cake is a vanilla birthday cake dipped in white chocolate and rainbow sprinkles with raspberry dipping sauce, a nod to the popular Australian treat. The Wackadoo Fruit Freeze is a frozen fruit punch drink garnished with fruit salad. Bluey’s Berry Lemonade blends frozen lemonade with blueberry, blackberry, and raspberry and is available at Pizzafari and Eight Spoon CafĂ©. At the Isle of Java, Pretzel’s Pretzels offers soft mini pretzels with cheese and blueberry mustard sauces.

Disney Merchandise and PhotoPass

Bluey merchandise is available at Island Mercantile on Discovery Island and at Conservation Station. The current lineup includes youth rain jackets, pullovers, t-shirts, adult sweatshirts, and adult tees. Bluey and Bingo plush headbands and a Create Your Own plush are coming later this summer.

Disney PhotoPass photographers are offering three Bluey Magic Shots at the park entrance and near the Discovery River between Africa and Asia. Options include Granny Janet and Rita, a Keepy Uppy butterfly shot, and a Dance Mode shot with Bluey and Bingo.

The Short Version

Bluey’s Wild World opens May 26. Virtual queue only. 7 a.m. window from anywhere. 10 a.m. window inside the park only—no standby line. Set the alarm, open the app, and have your admission ready before 7 a.m.

Your kid is going to love this. Do not let the virtual queue get in the way.
