Disney Dining Serving up the latest Disney Eats, Treats, News, and More!
Back in February 2020, Disney announced that it would be closing one of EPCOT’s most iconic restaurants — the Electric Umbrella. The Electric Umbrella had been an EPCOT staple since 1984, but it would be replaced with a new restaurant that would specialize in cuisine from around the globe. That new restaurant would be called Connections Café and Eatery. Connections Café will be located in the World Celebration area of the theme park, which includes the Spaceship Earth attraction, as well as the Imagination Pavilion.

Disney has been giving Guests small looks at the restaurant, and has also given a sneak peek of the menu. However, Guests have been waiting for months to hear when this newest Disney Park restaurant will open, and now Disney has finally given us a date! On April 21, Disney Parks tweeted that Connections Café and Eatery would be opening on April 27!

Connections Café has an incredible open floor plan, along with three show kitchens. That means that Guests will be able to see Disney’s top-of-the-line chefs prepare their food right before their eyes! Disney is also never one to skimp on the details, so be sure to look down when you venture into Connections Café — Disney Imagineers designed the floor to look like the original blueprints for Walt Disney’s “Florida Project.”

and Eatery is not the only exciting new opening coming to EPCOT. On May 27 — Memorial Day weekend — Disney announced that its newest roller coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: will be launching Guests into space. The ride took the place of Ellen’s Energy Adventure in the area of the Park.

Connections Café will be a quick-service location, meaning you walk up to the counter and order your food. That means that reservations will not be required to enjoy this delicious new spot.
