Anyone who has visited EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort in recent months will have seen that there is a massive amount of work being done to the Park. EPCOT is undergoing a complete transformation and will be a true one-of-a-kind experience when it is complete. While fans of the original Park are sure to feel a pang of sadness, there will be a ton of new things to take in. One of those new experiences will be Connections CafĂ© and Eatery — which is scheduled to open this spring!
Connections Café and Eatery will be a quick-service spot that will showcase food from around the world. EPCOT is a global experience and Connections Café is going to be no different. Connections Café will also have an open kitchen, so Guests can see the talented chefs spinning a pizza or topping off your beautiful dessert. Now we are getting a first look at some of the mouth-watering dishes that are sure to please the millions who will eat there.
Disney Parks Blog shared some more information on what’s coming to the new spot.
From the French Bistro Burger with caramelized onions, bacon, and brie to the Southwestern Burger featuring a roasted chipotle-corn salsa and guacamole spread â yum! You canât go wrong with the Vietnamese-inspired Banh Mi Burger or the Greek-inspired Mediterranean Burger. Youâll want to try each dish.
For those looking for something lighter to power them through their theme park day, Connections Café will also have a number of delicious salads packed full of some of your favorite ingredients from multiple countries. The menu will offer both a Niçoise-style salad and the General Tso Chicken Salad.
The Niçoise salad will be made with potatoes, white beans, green beans, and olives with a Dijon vinaigrette. The General Tso’s salad will have tasty ingredients like broccoli slaw, red bell pepper, crispy wontons, and mandarin oranges.
When your stomach is grumbling at Walt Disney World, pizza is always a solid choice. Hot, gooey, and packed full of flavor. There will be a total of four pizzas on the menu, and we are getting a look at just two of them. One of the pizzas will be a more traditional meatball pizza. There will also be a Curry Spice Pizza — topped with carrots, peas, potatoes, and lime yogurt. The pizza will be entirely plant-based and perfect for those following a vegan diet.
Of course, as with any Disney Park menu, there will also be a number of offerings aimed at younger Guests. These menu items will be more basic and include things like chicken nuggets and a cheeseburger. But there will also be a grilled chicken bao for adventurous younger palettes.
Now, eating all of that great food can certainly make a person thirsty. For that, Connections Café will be offering a selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There will be some delicious (and surely filling) milkshakes, including the Mango-Coconut shake with pomegranate drizzle, as well as the Apple Pie Gelato Shake.
The Watermelon-Mint Agua Fresca is great on a hot day and perfect for the whole family. For Guests 21 and over, Connections Café will offer a variety of beer and wine, and will also have a Thai Basil Cooler.
No meal is complete without dessert, and Connections CafĂ© doesn’t skimp there either! The menu’s biggest feature will be a Liege Waffle. The brioche waffle will be the perfect amount of sweet and available with perfectly tasty toppings.
With such an incredible menu, Connections CafĂ© is sure to become EPCOT’s new hotspot. Disney has not released a specific opening date, but has confirmed that the new eatery will be opening this Spring.
Will you be making a stop at Connections Café when it opens?
