Walt Disney World Resort has always been a destination vacation for families around the world. Being able to fly in a pirate ship with Peter Pan, taste food from around the world, ride a haunted elevator, and get close to exotic animals makes Disney World one of the most unique places to visit. Over the past decade, the Parks have seemingly become even more popular as social media has taken off. Social media influencers love to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth and show off their trips to their thousands of followers.
While many social media accounts focused on the magic of Disney are completely harmless and a great way to get your Disney fix, an increasing number of TikTokers and Instagrammers are willing to go to extreme lengths to get the attention they so desperately desire. That is leading to more Guests breaking the rules all for a photo or video.
TikToker Matthew Benson (@matthew_benson) recently visited EPCOT and saw something that is sadly becoming more and more normal. A Disney Guest climbed onto a fountain, then lifted her leg to pose on the fountain as her friends took a picture of her in the water. After getting the picture she wanted, the Disney Guest quickly looked around and climbed down from the fountain and out of the water.

It is important for all Guests to remember that this type of behavior is strictly prohibited all around Disney World. The Walt Disney World Resort website lists activities that are prohibited, and one of them is dangerous activities.
Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Cast Members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior, jumping lines or saving places in lines for others. For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running except in designated areas.
If you are thinking of going to Disney World and trying to do the same thing, please don’t. It puts you in danger of getting hurt, and no Cast Member wants to deal with a misbehaving Guest. In fact, Cast Members at Disney World, Disneyland Resort — or any Disney Park — can escort a Guest out if they are acting in a dangerous manner. That Guest can then be banned for a set amount of time.
