Hearts broke all over the globe as reports spread that the man known best to the world as Captain America is officially off the market. News of actor Chris Evans’ wedding was quickly covered by Page Six, People Magazine, and more when the Sexiest Man winner officially tied the knot in an intimate ceremony (read: secret) with tons of superheroes in attendance!

This weekend in Cape Cod, Massachusetts on a “private estate,” 42 year-old Evans married 26 year-old girlfriend Alba Baptista, an actress known best from her Netflix series Warrior Nun and role in Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris (2022). But Evans and his new wife weren’t the only warriors in attendance – various Marvel Cinematic Universe friends were reportedly there to support and celebrate.
People reports that Robert Downey Jr. and wife Susan Downey, Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky, Jeremy Renner, as well as John Krasinski and Emily Blunt “were spotted in nearby Boston” presumably for Chris Evans’ wedding!

From People’s timeline and confirmation of early romance rumors, the happy couple has been together for at least two years following Evan’s split from actress Jenny Slate in early 2018. Here’s an adorable quote from his Sexiest Man Alive interview:
That’s absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family. When you read about most of the best artists, whether it’s actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn’t the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared…I love the idea of tradition and ceremony.
