Disney Parks Blog has just announced that EPCOT is ending the virtual queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
The all-new attraction debuted to Guests on October 1, 2021, and was a big part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Walt Disney World Resort.
Since it first opened at the France pavilion on the World Showcase at EPCOT, Guests have been able to join Remy in Gusteau’s kitchen via the virtual queue. The queue itself was part of the launch of the new attraction.
But beginning January 10, Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort will be able to access a stand-by queue for the attraction, rather than a virtual one. The virtual queue will disappear for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure for now. Guests will also have the option of purchasing access to the Lightning Lane queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure as well.
Disney says that in the future, the attraction may return to using the virtual queue from time to time for certain attractions, as the virtual queue can be very valuable in helping to move Guests through the queue for some of Disney World’s most popular attractions.
Guests can also use the complimentary Disney Genie service, which can also be a valuable tool in planning their days in the theme parks at Disney World. Access Genie via the My Disney Experience app and sit back and relax as Genie creates a custom itinerary just for you and your traveling party!
