If you grew up a Disney kid in the ’90s, you probably remember the hit Disney Channel show Boy Meets World. The show starred Ben Savage as Cory Matthews, a young boy growing up and hilariously dealing with everything to do with friendship, love, and more.
Boy Meets World lasted for seven years, from middle school through college. The show was so popular that, in 2014, Disney launched a new series, Girl Meets World. Unfortunately, the spinoff only lasted for three seasons.

Seasons six and seven of Boy Meets World focused on Cory’s time in college with Shawn and Cory’s longtime love, Topanga. There are also some new characters introduced, including Angela Moore, played by Trina Colette McGee. Angela becomes Shawn’s girlfriend and Topanga’s best friend.
It’s been more than 20 years since Boy Meets World aired its final episode, but fans still love hearing about what’s going on with some of their favorite Disney Channel stars. And they were shocked and excited when star Trina McGee made a huge announcement on her Instagram account.

On June 3, McGee announced that she was pregnant with her fourth child at the age of 54. This will be her first child with her current husband, fellow actor Marcello Thedford. She shares three children with her first husband, Randall Courtland Davis.

One hour before confirming her pregnancy, McGee shared a photo of herself in a bathing suit with a homemade coconut cake in her hand. Many people commented on the delicious cake. But there were some who pointed out her baby bump that was on display.
This is not the first time that the Boy Meets World alum has made headlines for a startling reason. Four years ago, McGee tweeted that, during her time on the Disney Channel show, she encountered some pretty severe racism. She was called names like “Aunt Jemima” and said that she was not acknowledged by some of her costars until she had been on the show for 60 episodes.

She also confirmed that it was Will Friedle who called her “Aunt Jemima”. Friedle played Cory’s older brother, Eric Matthew. McGee also said that it was Danielle Fishel (Topanga Lawrence) who made her feel unwelcome when she returned to the spinoff, Girl Meets World.
In June 2022, Fishel, Friedle, and Rider Strong (AKA Shawn Hunter) launched their podcast, Pod Meets World. While promoting the podcast, Fishel and Friedle admitted that they were less-than-kind to McGee during her time on Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World. Fishel said that the cast had conversations about on-set racism, which made them closer.
