Since Frozen’s debut in 2013, Disney fans have not been able to let it go. While your house may have been on a Frozen soundtrack time loop, Disney Parks was working to bring the kingdom of Arendelle into our reality, and it’s almost coronation day! This November marks the official grand opening of World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland, and your two favorite royals made it official.
Queen Elsa and Princess Anna, though now also the Queen of Arendelle, officially visited the Frozen world of Hong Kong Disneyland in a newly shared video. In the teaser released by Disney, Anna and Elsa, in their regal attire from the end of Frozen II (2019), frolic through the Norwegian-inspired architecture from their films. Don’t miss the antique clock face with the tiny Anna and Elsa figurines in front. Remember the clock from Love is an Open Door? So cute!
The World of Frozen banners proclaim the “Official Summer Snow Day.” Apparently, tours of the Kingdom of Arendelle are now departing! The Disney Park features a newspaper from the Arendelle Daily Press, forecasting the weather for Summer Snow Day, advertising Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleigh ride, and discussing Elsa’s efforts to “improve relations with the Southern Isles.” The details are flawless.
Anna and Elsa bow as they enter and giddily admire their castle, accented with decorative snowflakes. The tip of Elsa’s famous ice palace is visible just to the left of the clock tower, and their childhood portrait is hung proudly. Overall, Anna and Elsa seem very pleased with Hong Kong Disneyland’s World of Frozen, and now that they’ve given their blessings, nothing is stopping you from booking your ticket!
Here’s what Walt Disney Imagineering and the Disney Parks Blog say visiting guests will experience.
In this time of happily-ever-after, peace and prosperity have returned to the kingdom of Arendelle, guests are invited from near and far to take part in this joyous celebration on Summer Snow Day.
World of Frozen prides itself as the park’s largest expansion and the world’s first Frozen-themed land that will be home to two new attractions, namely Frozen Ever After and the first-of-its-kind Frozen-themed family-friendly roller coaster Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, a quick-service restaurant and other merchandise outlets.
