Disney Announces Opening Date For Upcoming ‘Frozen’ Themed Land

Ten years ago, the first Frozen (2013) film debuted with raving success. Children everywhere caught the ‘Frozen Fever,’ as we like to put it, and the franchise has only grown since then, much to the delight of Walt Disney Studios.

The release of various shorts and Frozen II (2019) has created an entire Frozen franchise, to the delight of children everywhere. Nowadays, Elsa and Anna are some of the most recognizable Disney characters, despite neither character being an official Disney Princess.

Frozen Ever After in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT, has since debuted as well and remains to be one of the most popular Disney rides with Guests to this day. However, the Frozen Fever has called for something even bigger: an entire themed area in a Disney Park.

That’s why Walt Disney Imagineering has been hard at work in Hong Kong Disneyland creating the World of Frozen, a Frozen-themed land.

Although Walt Disney Imagineering has been working on World of Frozen for months, the Walt Disney Company has finally announced an opening timeline:

World of Frozen will debut this November, the perfect time of year for a Frozen land!

Hong Kong Disneyland has even shared a video, keeping Guests and fans updated on the progress.

Hong Kong Disneyland’s World of Frozen is set between the events of Frozen and Frozen II, so Queen Elsa and Princess Anna will be extra recognizable.

The Frozen land will include new attractions such as Frozen Ever After, Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, and Playhouse in the Woods. World of Frozen will also include various shops and eateries such as Northern Delights, Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles, and more!
