Over in Walt Disney World, the live-action adaptation has been replacing the original Little Mermaid (1989) film across different resort hotels.
When staying on Walt Disney World property, guests can watch the Disney Classics channel, which will play music videos from various Disney movies. However, the channel has recently been replacing all original Little Mermaid music videos with sequences from the newer adaptation.
Make no mistake about it, Disney is trying to push the newer version.

Online, the new Little Mermaid film will soon make a splash onto Disney Plus (stylistically Disney+) on September 6. But that’s not all, this live-action remake will also make a splash into theaters for the second time! This time, however, it’ll be a sing-along version of The Little Mermaid that dives back into theaters.
Fans will be able to watch this reimagined classic and belt to their heart’s content!

According to Collider, a sing-along version of the live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid (starring Halle Bailey as Ariel and Jonah Hauer King as Prince Eric) will be rereleased into select theaters on August 25.
