With former Disney CEO Bob Chapek out of the way, Disney CEO, Mr. Rober Iger, has returned with not only executive shakeups but an entire business restructure that has prompted 7,000 company layoffs, as announced during The Walt Disney Company’s first-quarter earnings for fiscal 2023.

Disney Parks President, Josh D’Amaro, has stated the layoffs will have an impact on Disney Parks, such as Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, as mentioned in an email sent to Cast Members. While the workforce reductions will have an impact, it is clarified that the company does not expect these layoffs to impact hourly, frontline roles in the operation.
