Halloween Horror Nights are upon us, and that can only mean one thing: shopping! What? Is shopping not the first thing that comes to your mind when thinking of Universal’s Halloween event? Then you’ve never experienced a Universal Tribute store.
This year features two incredible retail locations to stock up on all of your favorite Halloween Horror Nights gear! The first is the Tribute store over at Studios which is the epicenter of all the horrifying action. This store is seasonal and is set to open in just a few days on August 30, 2023. The second location is the All Hallows Eve Boutique over at Islands of Adventure. This shop is open year-round…or at least it’s supposed to be.
Fans took to X (formerly called Twitter) to complain that the store hadn’t been open for several days. The shop’s closure just so happens to have fallen during Universal’s Passholder Appreciation Days, which run from August 15 – September 30, 2023.
X User @GaryPunds posted a photo of the shuttered store and observed that the park was full of passholders and the closure was a huge missed opportunity. Many joined in to express their disappointment.
Mel agreed saying that passholders spend more than nonpassholders and felt that the shop not being open during Passholder Appreciation Days was insulting.
Carl suggested that the closure was on purpose to limit the number of discounts Passholders were able to use during Passholder Appreciation Days. He noted that several locations have been closed during the event.
Rachel agreed and confirmed that many shops at Universal had been closed during the Passholder Appreciation Days event.
Daren pointed out that the store had recently sold out of many items. They guess that perhaps the store was simply closed to restock.
The All Hallows Eve Boutique is located on the Lost Continent section of Islands of Adventure. Opening its doors in August 2021, it has rotated its merchandise seasonally but kept the Halloween-themed decor, making this one of the most unique stores at Universal Orlando Resort.
