Donald Trump is currently in the middle of a busy Presidential campaign, but this past Saturday, he traveled to Alabama to attend a football game between the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia. The former President watched the game from a box seat, and the crowd cheered for him when he was shown on the jumbotron.
However, some of his supporters are angry at ABC — which aired the college football game — and are accusing the network of ignoring the former President.

During the live broadcast, Trump was shown for only six seconds. This brief coverage came despite the significant interest from the crowd, who erupted into cheers upon his appearance on the stadium jumbotron. Supporters claimed that ABC deliberately minimized coverage of Trump, illustrating a stark contrast between the crowd’s enthusiastic reception and the network’s limited portrayal.
This situation raised questions regarding the fairness of ABC’s broadcasting decisions.
What’s truly pathetic is the fact that abc refuses to acknowledge Trump is at the Alabama-Georgia game. There hate is so obvious and truly disgusting. TDS at its worst. ABC is a disgrace

Several social media users voiced their frustration, alleging that ABC exhibited preferential treatment towards celebrities. Comparisons were drawn between Trump’s limited airtime and the extensive coverage typically given to pop stars such as Taylor Swift.
Comments surfaced on various platforms indicating that if a celebrity like Swift were present, she would have garnered far more attention from the cameras. Viewers called for accountability, demanding more balanced coverage of prominent figures attending major events, such as college football games.
It’s funny, I’ve been watching the Alabama/ Georgia game on ABC and they have not shown Trump once. if it were Taylor Swift here at the game we would have seen her 20 times by now LOL. These guys are so corrupt 🤦

The incident is not an isolated one. Trump has a history of criticism toward ABC, particularly in light of their coverage during recent political events and debates, which many supporters viewed as biased against him. The presidential debate moderated by ABC, where Trump faced off against Vice President Kamala Harris, also attracted backlash for what Trump claimed was unfair treatment.
In addition to the public outcry regarding coverage, Trump is currently pursuing a defamation lawsuit against ABC and Stephanopoulos. This legal action stems from comments made during a prior interview where Stephanopoulos referenced Trump’s liability in past court cases. While Trump’s supporters hope for a favorable ruling, the legal landscape is complex. Courts have previously ruled against Trump in other defamation cases, illustrating the high burden he faces in proving defamation, particularly as a public figure.
Do you think ABC should have given Donald Trump more air time at the Alabama football game? Let us know in the comments!
No celebrity or “president” should overshadow any event! When I tune into a live show, I want to see the show! I don’t want to see a celebrity, president, or anyone else who is not an active participant. Show the dang game, forget the promotional celebrities. Who cares? I would have tuned out of the game if they had been constantly showing Trump or if Taylor Swift had been there, I’d tune her out too. To worry with these rich people and their celebrity status is actually disrespectful to the players, teams, and coaches. You want to see Trump, go to a rally. You want to see Swift, go to a concert!
