Your Attention Please! The Walt Disney World Railroad Is Now Open!

Attention, Walt Disney World visitors! After four long — very long — years, the Walt Disney World Resort Railroad is FINALLY open and ready to take you on a Grand Circle Tour of Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The iconic Magic Kingdom attraction has been closed since December 3, 2018, and after waiting on pins and needles, the steam train is once again up and operational. Even better? It has a brand-new loop track that an all-new conductor narrates! Choo-Choo!

As many people may remember, Disney had to close the Railroad as construction moved along on the Magic Kingdom’s newest roller coaster — TRON Lightcycle/Run. The coaster was supposed to be done by the time Disney World’s 50th Anniversary rolled around, but the project suffered from severe construction delays, partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Well, TRON Lightcycle/Run still isn’t open — that will happen in Spring 2023 — but construction is nearly completed, so the Railroad is good to go!

It’s been a long time since anyone has been able to ride the Walt Disney World Railroad, so, if the memories are a little fuzzy, here’s more info on the iconic attraction:
