You Can Ride This Iconic Roller Coaster for One More Day
Those who are visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort today are in for a special treat. An iconic Hollywood Studios attraction was supposed to close today, but Guests of the Park will be happy to know this is untrue.
Hollywood Studios Roller Coaster Closure Delayed
When you think of roller coasters in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the attraction that comes to mind for many is Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. The ride is located on Sunset Boulevard, and it is one of the theme Park’s most beloved attractions. It’s also one of the most popular attractions, and consistently has a wait time to prove it.
The attraction premiered on July 29, 1999. The opening day celebrations included a dedication ceremony with Aerosmith, and an unveiling of all the ride has to offer. The ride takes Guests on a wild race through G-Force Records, where Aerosmith holds a recording session. Once the band heads to the show, you are invited to tag along with them in a stretch high-speed limo. The ride is super fast, and has incredible speakers that blast you with some classic Aerosmith songs while you ride. Fans love screaming alongside Steven Tyler on this iconic roller coaster.
One Last ‘Dream On’
As with most rides built almost 24 years ago, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is in need of some love and attention. Guests who have been on the attraction in recent months report that the ride seems to be having some major technical issues. The ride has even been known to break down several days in a row. Disney announced the Rock n Roller Coaster would be under refurbishment starting February 20th. While the ride has had some tune-ups over the years, this is the first full refurbishment that Disney has done.
However, fans visiting the theme Park today were overjoyed to see that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith was still up and running. Fans in the Parks today will experience Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith for one more day before refurbishment begins tomorrow.
