Bless actress Halle Bailey’s patience because the world has been testing her ever since her casting as Ariel in Disney’s new live-action remake of The Little Mermaid was announced in 2018. The film’s release is now only weeks away! This weekend at the 2023 Met Gala in New York City, Halle Bailey attended wearing sparkly white Gucci and flagged at least one crazy question that went viral.
An interviewer from The Cut lobbed a hardball question a the Disney Princess that left her mouth hanging open. The interviewer asks, “If you HAD to eat Flounder or Sebastian – who would you eat?”
Bailey is taken aback for a second and in a true princess fashion, immediately curbs the question with grace and adorable charm, Bailey answers, “I would not eat either of them! They’re my friends!” She laughs a melodic mermaid laugh and thanks the interviewer, who replies, “Fair enough.”
