Disney Dining Serving up the latest Disney Eats, Treats, News, and More!
Out of all the theme parks in Walt Disney World, Animal Kingdom is probably the most reliable. Nearly every attraction stays operating all day long, unlike the attractions of Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios.
However, one of Animal Kingdom’s star attractions has been facing technical difficulties this morning: Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain.

Although not an opening day attraction, Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain is easily one of the Disney Park’s most classic rides.
This roller coaster is categorized by crazy twists, turns, and exciting drops. Not only that, but Guests riding this attraction must face the ferocious Yeti as he roars and grabs at the carts while they careen past him.
In short, it’s easily one of Animal Kingdom’s wildest rides. But unfortunately, this ride has been closed all morning.

At the time of this article’s publication, Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain is still listed as ‘Temporarily Closed’ on the Walt Disney World mobile app.

This thrilling roller coaster has been closed all morning, and it’s anyone’s guess as to why. More than likely, the ride is just facing technical difficulties.
If refurbishments were being made or maintenance was being performed, the attraction would not be listed as ‘Temporarily Closed,’ and Disney would have put out an announcement.

That being said, although it’s probably just common technical difficulties, we are unsure as to when Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain will open again. When will Guests get the chance to face the Yeti again? Only time will tell.
