This adorable offering on Airbnb’s site is making it super easy to say “T-T-F-N! Ta-ta for now” to your troubles, to your job, to your hum-drum, and get away from it all!
In celebration of the 95th anniversary of Disney’s Silly Old Bear himself, Airbnb has joined forces with the House of Mouse to bring vacationers the Winnie-the-Pooh-inspired “Bearbnb.”
The ground-floor treehouse, which is located in Nutley, England in a forested area that looks just like the Hundred Acre Wood, was inspired by E. H. Shephard’s artwork for Winnie the Pooh and was designed by Kim Raymond, illustrator for Winnie the Pooh for more than 30 years and the host of the home.
The name “Sanderz” is even over the door of the little home. After all, it’s Pooh’s treehouse, and he lives there, under the name of Sanders. (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, 1977)
Pooh is ready to welcome company! His treehouse has one bathroom and room enough to sleep four guests. The bedroom has a big, comfy bed that sleeps two guests and two comfy bunk-style beds that are suspended from the ceiling.
Guests who are lucky enough to snatch a reservation at Pooh’s adorable treehouse can also relax in the tiny parlor/sitting area inside the house. The soft touches of the settee contrast with the wooden extras in the space and the whimsically-placed windows along the treehouse walls.
Just outside Pooh’s treehouse, guests can enjoy lunch or dinner in a quiet, secluded outdoor sitting and dining area while taking in the beauty of the forest around them. The wooden table and chairs are reminiscent of the scene about Piglet’s party in the 1977 Disney classic, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
If Pooh’s treehouse has any of the charm that the delightful Silly Old Bear has, a getaway stay at his home would be a vacation all by itself!
Seems like staying in Pooh’s treehouse could be very relaxing! Simple is better sometimes, don’t you think?
Bookings for Pooh’s house through Airbnb will be taken beginning September 20. You can find the special AirBNB listing here.
