Three Outbursts of Violence Reported in One Hour at Two Disney World Theme Parks
Thursday morning at Walt Disney World Resort began with an unusual and troubling pattern: three separate battery calls logged across two theme parks within a span of 29 minutes.
First Call: Animal Kingdom at 9:52 a.m.

The morning’s first incident was reported at 9:52 a.m. near Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, with scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime sharing the dispatch on X (formerly known as Twitter):

One detail sets this call apart from the others that followed. Rather than being logged under the generalized guest-facing address for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, it was tracked to a backstage service area. The location suggests that the people involved may have been Disney cast members rather than theme park guests, though that hasn’t been confirmed.
Second Call: Hollywood Studios at 10:18 a.m.

Twenty-six minutes later, a battery call came in from an entirely different Central Florida Disney park. @WDWActiveCrime logged the second incident at 10:18 a.m.:
🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/9/26 10:18 AM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

This call was tracked to the standard generalized emergency response address for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The exact location within the park and the identities of those involved remain unknown.
Third Call: Hollywood Studios Again at 10:21 a.m.

Three minutes after the second Hollywood Studios call, a third battery incident was reported from the same park. @WDWActiveCrime captured the dispatch at 10:21 a.m.:
🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/9/26 10:21 AM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The same generalized Disney’s Hollywood Studios address was used for this call as well, meaning the precise location of this third incident within the park is unconfirmed. Whether the two Hollywood Studios calls are connected to each other — or to the earlier Animal Kingdom backstage incident — hasn’t been established.
Neither Walt Disney World Resort nor the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has issued statements about any of the three incidents. If police reports are prepared or criminal charges are filed, additional details may eventually become public.
Guests Can Carry on as Normal

Both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park are operating without any reported disruptions following Thursday morning’s battery calls. Guests at either park should continue with their plans while staying alert to any instructions from cast members or law enforcement they encounter on property.
