When a man and his stroller were turned away from a Disney Resort boat ride, the Guest decided to take matters into his own hands and race against the Disney transportation on foot!
The Walt Disney World Resort is home to not only four Disney Parks, two water Parks, and Disney Springs, but it is also home to more than 25 Disney Resort hotels. One of these is the beloved Disney Port Orleans Resort hotels, including Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.

The two neighboring Resorts have much in common but are unique enough that Guests regularly transfer from one Resort hotel to the other to enjoy the different amenities close by. While the two Resorts are within walking distance, Disney also offers a nice boat ride up the Sassagoula River for easy transportation. This same boat transportation also takes Port Orleans Resort Guests to and from Disney Springs.
As with any complimentary DIsney Park or Disney Resort transportation, Guests can expect to wait in lines, especially when riding the smaller Resort boats. One man attempted to use the boat to transfer from Port Orleans French Quarter to Riverside. Unfortunately, due to a full boat, he and his stroller were turned away.

Instead of waiting for the next boat to arrive, the Disney Guest decided to take matters into his own hands and set off on a foot race with the Disney transportation as the boat riders cheered him on.
@onehappy_day took to social media on February 3, 2023, to share a video, noting, “Shoutout to this athlete! They were turned away at POFQ to go to Riverside… so he took matters into his own hands and raced the boat.” Check out the video below:
