Universal Orlando Rumored to Bring Back Beloved Roller Coaster Attraction – Here’s What We Know

Although Walt Disney World is the Most Magical Place on Earth, Universal Orlando Resort is easily one of the most thrilling Resorts on Earth.

Between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Universal Orlando Resort is home to some of the best roller coaster attractions in the state.

Guests visit from all over the world to experience rides like Jurassic World VelociCoaster, The Incredible Hulk Coaster, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

But the Harry Potter-themed roller coaster wasn’t always present in Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park.

Before Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure was Dueling Dragons, a totally unique duel coaster located in the theme park’s Lost Continent section. The roller coaster featured a blue track (the “ice track”) and a red track (“the fire track”).

In 2010, the attraction was renamed the “Dragon Challenge” and was now a part of the Harry Potter section of the theme park. The attraction would close seven years later, with Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure taking up the space the coaster used to occupy.

However, there are rumors flying around suggesting that the roller coaster will make a reappearance at Universal Orlando Resort this year:

This Tweet claims that Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights event will include a house based on the defunct roller coaster.

At this point in time, we have no evidence to support this claim nor any idea what the hypothetical house would look like. To conclude, this is currently nothing more than just a rumor.
