Whether visiting Walt Disney World Resort or Universal Orlando Resort, you’re bound to run into an attraction that’s been temporarily closed.

Rides can close at a moment’s notice for several reasons. Sometimes the culprit is internal, such as a technical difficulty.
Other times, the culprit is something external such as a weather warning or a Guest dropping something into the attraction, halting operations.
However, one Universal Studios Florida attraction recently closed due to one of the most serious external factors possible: injury.

In this social media post, an anonymous Guest admits they are the reason for the closure of Universal Orlando’s Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit attraction.
This high-speed roller coaster takes Guests up a vertical lift and careening down twists and turns as a song of their choice plays. However, the anonymous Guest must have rock-and-rolled too hard and injured themselves in the process.

In the post above, they describe discovering a small cut, noticing it was bleeding, and asking for a bandage. As a result, the Team Members had to shut the attraction down for an hour or so to ensure the Guest was okay and likely to sanitize the attraction.
While Guests waiting to experience the thrill ride may have felt. inconvenienced by the closure, it’s good that nobody was seriously hurt and that the Universal Team Members took precautions.

On the bright side, the attraction was up and running not long afterward, and the anonymous Guest was able to joke about the experience online, playfully apologizing for the hold-up.
At the time of this article’s publication, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is up and running again.
