Despite the stiff competition they’ve created for each other, Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort have both perfected the art of transporting Guests into another world.
Walt Disney World Resort can effectively send Guests into Andy’s Backyard in Toy Story Land, Planet Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and an alien world in Pandora: The World of Avatar.

Similarly, Universal Orlando Resort transports Guests to iconic locations such as Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and Diagon Alley in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. But before the Wizarding World of Harry Potter came one of Universal’s most beloved areas: Marvel Super Hero Island.

The Amazing Adventures of Spider-man is one of the most intricate dark rides in Orlando, and it’s truly a marvel (no pun intended) of immersion and theming. For an attraction built in 1999, its use of screens continues to hold up wonderfully.
However, one Guest recently captured an unsettling experience on video: the Amazing Adventures of Spider-man undergoing technical difficulties.

In this video, we can see that only some screens and special effects are working, meanwhile, the attraction’s lights are on, effectively ruining the magic. The music isn’t playing either, making it extra uncomfortable. But also incredibly interesting too!
This is a unique experience that these Guests won’t soon forget, and it’ll definitely change one’s perspective of this dark ride forever.
