When it comes to Orlando, Florida, Universal Orlando Resort and Walt Disney World Resort have been competing with each other for years.
Sometimes, Disney World comes out on top with loyal fans; sometimes, Universal wins the competition with its thrilling attractions. But when it comes to customer service, it seems that nobody can take Mickey Mouse’s crown.

Universal Orlando Resort is made up of two theme parks: Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. Out of the two, Islands of Adventure has more exciting attractions to offer.
The theme park has eight areas: Port of Entry, Marvel Super Hero Island, Toon Lagoon, Skull Island: Reign of Kong, Jurassic Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, the Lost Continent, and Suess Landing.

Within the Lost Continent area lies the Mythos Restaurant, a highly-themed dining experience with an intricately decorated exterior consisting of a waterfall and carved figures.
Although the Mythos Restaurant has won an impressive amount of awards in its heyday, one family recently had a negative experience when one server did the unimaginable:
In this Reddit post, one Guest details their experience. They explain their wife’s father went into cardiac arrest back at the hotel while they were still at Mythos Restaurant.
The two needed to leave as soon as possible due to the medical emergency, and they told their server as much. However, as they were trying to leave, the server called them back to demand a tip.

This would be considered rude under normal circumstances, but to demand a tip while the party is leaving due to a medical emergency is unthinkable! We’re confident that something like this would never happen at Walt Disney World.
The Guest further discloses that they’ve sent Universal an email detailing the situation, but there have been no updates at this time. Will Universal fix the situation? Only time will tell.
