Not long ago, we announced that the Minions would be taking over at Universal Orlando. The all-new Minions Land is coming very soon and will include new shops, foods, and a brand new ride, in addition to the existing Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction. We are beyond excited to see this franchise take over what was once a disjointed and difficult-to-define area of Universal Studios.
At the time of the announcement, little was known about the new additions. Universal was keeping a tight lid on the project beyond names of new eateries and a brief description of the new ride. Today they gave us a sneak peek into the world of Minions Land, and it looks fantastic. Rather than a hard opening all at once, Universal seems to be slow rolling this new land, opening things as they are completed.
Minions was formerly the highest-grossing animated franchise from Illumination. The Super Mario Bros. Movie just knocked Minions down to #2. Despite losing the number one spot, Minion Mania is still in full effect. Fans everywhere love the hilarious little yellow evil-doers.
Speaking of evil, Universal took to Twitter to give a look inside one of the land’s brand-new shops! Evil Stuff is now open at Universal Studios and is your go-to for all things “eeeev-eal” (I hope you read that in Gru’s voice). Check out the shop and some of the villainous merch you can bring home:

Remember when Kevin, Stuart and Bob got dosed with “the serum” and turned into purple maniacs in Despicable Me 2? Now you can immortalize that crazy trip into villainy with plushies, shirts and coffee mugs!
Is that a Villain-Con Loungefly we spy? Why yes, yes it is. You know how we love our Loungefly bags at Disney Dining so this has us over the moon (but we won’t steal the moon, we promise).
You can find this shop near the front entrance to Universal Studios. The shop, according to Universal, will be a place where you can stock up on Villain-Con gear ahead of the new Minions Land opening! Stay tuned right here
