Universal Extends Epic Universe Hours – What You Need to Know About the New Schedule!

Universal Orlando Resort has updated the operating hours for its upcoming Epic Universe theme park, with some significant changes ahead of the park’s official debut. Guests visiting from May 22 through June 1 will now have extended hours to enjoy the attractions, as the park will operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering an additional hour of fun compared to the previously scheduled 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Extended Hours for Opening Week and Beyond

The most notable change is the extension of hours during the opening period. Originally slated to close at 9 p.m., Epic Universe will now welcome guests an hour longer, ensuring visitors have more time to explore the park’s groundbreaking attractions. This update comes after a wave of feedback from fans who voiced disappointment about the earlier closing time, particularly given the high demand expected during the opening days.

However, after June 1, Universal has indicated that the park’s hours will vary daily. Most days in June will feature standard operating hours from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with select dates—June 16, 23, 24, and 30—offering extended hours until 10 p.m. These extended hours reflect Universal’s efforts to maximize the guest experience during the highly anticipated opening period of Epic Universe.

No Early Park Admission on May 22

In addition to the extended hours, Universal Orlando Resort also confirmed that Early Park Admission (EPA) will not be available on May 22, the opening day of Epic Universe. EPA typically allows select guests, including those staying at Universal hotels or those with special packages, to enter the park before the general public. The absence of EPA on opening day is likely a strategic move by Universal to better manage the expected crowds and ensure a more controlled environment for all guests.

With the absence of Early Park Admission, Universal is signaling its intention to create a more equitable experience for all visitors on the first day, reducing the potential for overcrowding and confusion as the park opens its gates for the first time.

What’s Next for Epic Universe?

The extended hours and lack of EPA on opening day highlight Universal’s efforts to balance crowd management with delivering a top-tier experience. As the park gears up to welcome guests from all over, Epic Universe promises a variety of new attractions, immersive lands, and thrilling experiences that will keep visitors coming back for more. The park’s opening marks an exciting new chapter for Universal Orlando Resort, and the extended hours give guests more opportunities to dive into the magic.

With the official debut just around the corner, Epic Universe is set to become a major addition to Universal Orlando, and these changes in the operational schedule show that the resort is preparing for a high-demand event with careful attention to both guest experience and park flow.
