Amidst the bustling world of theme parks, Universal Studios has carved its own by offering guests an immersive and captivating experience of culture and imagination. With several different locations spread across the globe, including Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, and international destinations like Universal Studios Japan and Universal Studios Singapore, the Universal theme parks have undoubtedly become a symbol of entertainment and wonder for people of all ages.
Universal Orlando is located near its rival Disney World Resort and Seaworld Orlando. Universal Orlando stands out tremendously from the growth it is seeing. Universal Orlando is building a third theme park in Orlando called Epic Universe, which is set to open in 2025. Universal Orlando also recently opened a new land in Universal Studios Florida called Minion Land. It should be noted that Universal is also working on a Dreamworks area inside Universal Studios Florida, which is set to open in 2024.
Universal Orlando is home to two theme parks, at least for now, in Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure. Universal Studios Orlando also has a water park for guests looking to beat the Florida heat called Volcano Bay. With all these different opportunities, Universal Orlando guests of all ages will find something to experience, such as the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic Park or much more.
Guests looking for the newest attraction at Universal Orlando should head to Universal Studios Florida. This attraction is for all guests who can stand and love fluffy yellow guys in overalls. You guessed it correctly: The newest attraction features the latest Minion movie, Minions: The Rise of Gru, where Villian Con Minion Blast originated.
This attraction joins Illumination’s Minions, Belle Bottom, Jean Clawed, and the rest of the Vicious 6 at Villain-Con as you blast your way to supervillain stardom. Guests use the E-Liminator X blaster and test their skills in this fun, interactive attraction.
Alicia Stella on X (formerly known as Twitter) shared a photo of Villian Con Minion Blast closed off in a certain spot in the attraction. Apparently, Universal guest “damaged” the crocodile tank. While it does not seem like the screen is broken, this attraction just opened in August.

If you’re visiting Universal Studios Orlando, Walt Disney World Resort, or any other theme park worldwide, please show respect to the items you see while waiting in line. Breaking these items ruins the experience for other guests and creates more work for team members and cast members as a result.
What are your thoughts on the new Minion attraction?
