Universal Attraction Evacuated, Magic Totally Ruined as Guests Left Suspended In the Air

From Walt Disney World Resort to Universal Orlando Resort, the magic is a very important component. For Walt Disney World, it’s obviously the Disney magic. Over in Universal Orlando Resort, that same theme park magic is just as important, even if it’s disguised as Harry Potter magic.

Whether you’re visiting Cinderella Castle or Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the illusion and the magic of the theme park are very important, and it can easily be ruined.

For one unlucky group of Guests, it was undoubtedly ruined.

Over in Universal Islands of Adventure lies the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This area was groundbreaking for Universal Orlando Resort, as it finally put the theme parks on the same playing field as Walt Disney World.

This is due, in part, to one of Islands of Adventure’s most popular attractions: Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

The Forbidden Journey ride takes Guests into Hogwarts Castle, the Forbidden Forest, the Chamber of Secrets, and much more.

However, anyone who’s experienced this attraction knows it’s unlike any other dark ride in the theme park. It’s incredibly immersive and thrilling, with a ton of moving parts.

But with an attraction this intricate and complex, it comes as no surprise to hear that it can sometimes shut down due to technical difficulties. However, this is a shutdown unlike anything we’ve ever seen before:

In this Tweet, we can see that Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is much less magical and more terrifying when it breaks down.

The original poster of this Tweet states that they’d been stuck for at least 20 minutes. Judging from the photo, it’s incredibly likely that they had to be evacuated from this attraction, along with the rest of the Guests riding.
