Trail’s End No Longer Open Every Day

Trail’s End Restaurant is a popular table service restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. The hearty family-style restaurant serves familiar comfort foods at breakfast and dinner. Here you’ll find favorites like Mickey waffles, brisket and eggs, and potato casserole at breakfast, while dinner is served in skillets consisting of smoked chicken, pulled pork, sausage, roasted potatoes, corn-on-the-cob, and green beans. It’s enough food to satisfy even the hungriest in your posse.

You’ll want to do some extra planning, though, if you intend to saddle up to a table here at this rustic eatery though. Beginning in January, Trail’s End will operate only on select days. This is disappointing because we wholeheartedly say that this is one of the best breakfast spots at the Walt Disney World Resort. Additionally, it’s the only table service option for breakfast at Fort Wilderness. The closure will leave resort guests without a convenient option for a hearty and relaxing start to their day.

As it stands now, the restaurant will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the foreseeable future. The current schedule (available on Disney’s website) only shows January and February, so it isn’t possible to definitively say this is a permanent change. Still, it is something to keep in mind if you plan to visit Disney’s Fort Wilderness in early 2023.

Guests of the resort aren’t left high and dry, though. Other delicious options here include from P & J’s Southern Takeout, the Meadow Snack Bar, Crockett’s Tavern Bar, or The Chuck Wagon food truck for quick service options. For those who crave something more substantial, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is also home to the famous Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical RevueHoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. The resort is a short boat ride from both Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Want to know more? Stay tuned right here at Disney Dining. We are watching the situation closely and will be sure to let you know of any scheduling changes that take place as Disney releases more hours.
