For Tim Allen, who has been embodying the character of Jolly Old St. Nick since the early 1990s, it’s always Christmastime. Allen, a stand-up comedian from Detroit, first put on the big red suit in November 1994 with the debut of Disney’s The Santa Clause, and in 2002, he reprised his role in The Santa Clause 2. Four years later, he was Santa again in The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause.

But in November 2022, Allen made his Santa debut on Disney+ with the first-ever made-for-streaming part of the holiday franchise with the release of brand-new episodes of The Santa Clauses, which follows Santa, played by Tim Allen, and his family–Mrs. Claus, played by actress Elizabeth Mitchell, and Santa’s two (youngest) kids, Cal, played by Austin Kane, and Sandra, played by Allen’s real-life daughter, Elizabeth Allen Dick. Actor Kal Penn returns for the second holiday season of The Santa Clauses, reprising his role as Simon Chokski.

Per Disney+:

After being Santa Claus for nearly thirty years, he’s as jolly as ever. But as Christmas declines in popularity, so does his Santa magic. Scott struggles to keep up with the demands of the job, as well as being there for his family.

Season 2 of The Santa Clauses debuted on Disney+ on November 8, and fans of the festive, frosty series are already hooked as Allen’s Santa faces one of his biggest challenges yet–coming face-to-face with Magnus Anta, or as he is better known, the “Mad Santa,” played by actor Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family).

As the story goes, Magnus Antas was Father Christmas back in the 1400s, but he’s back, and according to him, the Santa who lives at the North Pole (Tim Allen’s Scott Calvin-Claus) is a fraud. But along the way to going toe-to-toe with Stonestreet’s angry St. Nick, Allen’s Santa will cross paths with a far less threatening holiday icon–the Easter Bunny.

Comedian and actor Tracy Morgan joins the cast of The Santa Clauses as the lovable Easter Bunny, making his debut in Episode 3 of the second season, and Disney+ has shared a sneak peek at Morgan’s take on the benevolent springtime bunny.

In addition to Stonestreet and Morgan, the cast of Season 2 of the holiday series welcomed comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias as Kris Kringle.

Regardless of whether they find themselves on the nice list or the naughty list, fans of the series (and those who soon will be) can watch Disney’s The Santa Clauses, now streaming on the Disney+ streaming platform. The series debuted with Episodes 1 and 2, and beginning November 15, a new episode will become available each Wednesday through the end of the season.
