This holiday-themed series returns to the streamer with a two-episode season premiere on November 8. It will pick up where Season 1 left off, following the first season that debuted in 2022. But the second season introduces fans to several new characters played by some beloved celebrities, including Tracy Morgan and comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias.
But Tim Allen’s Santa Claus will face his rival in the person of Magnus Anta, otherwise known as the Mad Santa, and Disney has chosen the perfect actor to play the rival, even though he’s an actor known for his comedic prowess.

Eric Stonestreet is most memorable for his role as Cameron Tucker in the ABC sitcom Modern Family, for which he received two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He’s also known for his roles in The Secret Life of Pets, The Loft, and Bad Teacher.

He also had a standing role for five seasons in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as Ronnie Litre, a Q.D. technician. His role in CSI served to grow Stonestreet’s popularity, and it was during that time that the producers of Modern Family noticed the actor and called on him to play the role of Cameron Tucker in the 11-season series on ABC.

Stonestreet will join the cast of The Santa Clauses as Magnus Anta, the Mad Santa, who, as the story goes, had charge of the North Pole hundreds of years ago during the 14th century. Now, his goal is to challenge Scott Calvin as the real Santa Claus.
“The Santa who occupies the North Pole now is a fraud!” Stonestreet’s Magnus Anta exclaims during the first trailer for Season 2 of The Santa Clauses.
“I am Santa, the rightful Santa,” Stonestreet says. “Revenge will be swift—and sweet. I am Santa, after all.”
“The [Santa Clause] franchise has had a lasting impact for so many families, truly becoming part of their annual holiday tradition. Bringing it back as a series has been a true gift, and I’m grateful to our producing partners at 20th Television, and of course, Tim Allen and team, that we have yet another reason to celebrate this holiday season,” Ayo Davis, Disney Branded Television president, said.
Season 2 of The Santa Clauses debuts on Disney+ on November 8. Enjoy the new trailer for the second season, as seen below.
