In The Crowded Room, Tom Holland plays a character with multiple personalities, who is also based on Billy Milligan, the first person to be acquitted of major crimes due to having a personality disorder. As a result of the sensitive subject, the series has received considerable criticism.

The series has also received significant backlash from critics who were unimpressed, while fans were dazzled.

According to Variety, Holland’s break was not due to The Crowded Room’s negative reviews, nor has it just begun. As it turns out, Holland began his break eight months ago and has been spending his time since then traveling and relaxing after the grueling work required for The Crowded Room’s intense subject matter.
