The New Spider Man Might Be the BEST Ever Made

Spiderman is undoubtedly one of the most iconic superheroes, with one of the most successful film franchises of all time.

Over the years, fans have gotten numerous different iterations of the Spiderman Universe, and with that comes a lot of varying opinions on which ones were the best. Fans have debated and picked apart every film in the Spiderman universe in hopes of deciding which ones the fandom deems “the best.”

Now, a new contender might be in the lead for the top spot.

New ‘Spider-Man’ Hits Theatres

When the trailer for Spiderman Across the Spiderverse dropped, Marvel fans couldn’t contain their excitement. The film promises to be a colorful and daring exploration of the Spiderverse saga that we all know and love. Set for release in theaters on June 2, 2022, the film will feature some of our favorite characters from the first movie, including the beloved Spiderman from different dimensions.

The incredible success of the first Spiderverse movie, which won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, has certainly raised expectations for this movie. But with mostly the same team attached, it seems that the unique style of the first film will be replicated in the sequel. As with the first movie, this movie leans heavily into the comic book genre, and the animation style reflects that. Expect to see vibrant colors, fast-paced visuals, and epic action sequences.

The Reviews Are In… And They Are Good

The fan support for this film has definitely been there, but it has still been too early to tell if it will be a hit with critics. With the film’s debut just a day away, we are finally getting the first reviews- and they are stupendous. The film debuts at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, a number that matches the first film in the series, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. 

This film seems like it is going to truly be something special. Pop Crave described it as;

Its color palette and blending of different animation styles is a treasure trove for the eyes, making it one of the most visually innovative films in years.
