Fans Are Overwhelmingly Disappointed With the Storyline For Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Although construction on the attraction has just begun, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is already old news to many Disney fans. However, the ride’s story has just been announced by Disney…But unfortunately, fans are not reacting well to the choices the Walt Disney Company has made regarding the ride.

By now, Magic Kingdom’s Splash Mountain has already made its final splash and closed its doors forever. Diehard fans have done some bizarre things while mourning the attraction, such as attempting to sell water and props taken from the ride.

As for fans of Disney’s Princess and the Frog (2009), there was nothing but excitement in the air. Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen were returning, along with old beloved friends, and many fans assumed that meant that the attraction would follow the film’s events. However, Disney has confirmed that the attraction occurs after the movie’s events.

Disney recently released the full story of the attraction, and Disney Dining has written an in-depth guide that can be found here. Now that many fans have the story of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, they’re disappointed.

Many fans were still excited, thinking the movie’s iconic, fan-favorite villain, Dr. Facilier, would somehow return, and the classic drop would be to the tune of his song, “Friends on the Other Side.” Now that we’re learning this isn’t the case, fans are losing interest and hope.

Those who enjoy the Princess and the Frog will remember the exciting music and fun characters, and now that it seems this attraction will involve neither, some fans simply don’t want it anymore!
