Christmas has come and gone, and the new year has already begun, but at Disney World, the crowds haven’t quite relented, as Guests often visit the parks at the Walt Disney World Resort between Christmas and New Year’s Day through the first week of January.
And at no theme park was this more evident on Monday morning than at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where one attraction saw a stand-by wait time of more than five hours, and it’s not even a brand-new attraction; it’s been around for a few years already.

Disney Parks are notorious for their many attractions that not only draw in Guests by the droves and dozens, but tell interesting stories based on Disney’s classic films and movies as well. And since Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012 for $4 billion from the genius behind the galaxy far, far away–George Lucas–Disney theme park attractions have gone on to tell stories from Star Wars as well.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests are invited to “join the Resistance in an unforgettable battle against the First Order” on a thrilling ride that has even made Star Wars fans out of those who took no interest in the film franchise before experiencing the attraction–Rise of the Resistance.
And on Monday morning, it seems a galaxy full of Guests were intent on accepting a mission from the Resistance, as the ride had posted wait times of 315 minutes and higher in the stand-by queue.
