Things We Just Can’t Say “No” to at Walt Disney World

True Disney fanatics have a passion for the Parks that keep them returning to Disney theme Parks again and again. If you are a Walt Disney World Resort fan that has a hard time passing up Disney merchandise, hop on an opportunity to head to Orlando for a vacation with Mickey Mouse, and love spending an evening cuddling up with a classic Disney film, this article is for you. There are Walt Disney World experiences that will always be a yes for me. Here are things we just can’t say “no” to at Walt Disney World Parks.

Extra Park Time

With Park hopping opportunities across the property and great attractions you want the maximum amount of Park time each day. After all, rides like Flight of Passage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Smuggler’s Run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are jaw dropping.

Regardless of if we gain extra Park time through the extra magic hours or simply by arriving at rope drop and staying in the Park until the final second of the day- Disney fanatics will never say “no” to more Park time. Additional Park time means you can cover more ground, slow down, and smell the roses between attractions.

Riding Our Favorite Rides

It does not matter how often I scream over Space Mountain or get spooked on the Haunted Mansion I love experiencing my favorite attractions again. Even if you have ridden an old favorite attraction a million times, Disney fanatics can’t say “no” to hopping on their favorite rides again. There is nothing wrong with revisiting Disney staples again and again.

Watching the Parades

For many Guests, kids and adults alike, Disney parades are like nothing they have ever experienced. Choreography, costuming, and music are so incredible you’ll want to experience parades again and again. There is no shame in watching a parade you have seen multiple times.

We all love to wave at our favorite princesses and get caught up in the overwhelming feelings that swirl when the parade music swells and Mickey Mouse appears on his parade float. There is a reason Disney World Park kids have such strong memories of Disney World parades; they really are that good!

Staying for Fireworks or Evening Shows

Yes, central Florida is hot, a Disney Park day involves a ton of walking, and it can be tempting to return to your Disney Resort hotel, but I cannot say “no” to evening entertainment. Evening entertainment at Walt Disney World is just as impressive as parades, attractions, and shows. There is no shame in staying way past the last showing of Disney Enchantment in the Magic Kingdom at the end of a busy day.

Character Dining

Character dining offers the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal with your favorite Disney pals. Dining on at least one character meal during each Disney vacation is an experience I cannot turn down.

Meeting Pooh and Tigger at The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom Park, or Minnie Mouse at Hollywood & Vine at Hollywood Studios are such fun experiences that I will not pass up.

Taking Too Many Photos

Is there such a thing as taking too many photos at Walt Disney World? It is easy to turn into a shutterbug with many beautiful attractions, fun memories, cute characters, and beautiful experiences around you.

I will never say “no” to taking photos in the parks. Snap all the Dole Whip food selfies, document your stroll through Liberty Square on your Instagram stories, and snap that family photo in front of Cinderella Castle.

Buying Mouse Clad Souvenirs

Purchasing too many Disney souvenirs is atypicaln Disney fanatic phenomenon. Who can blame us when Disney Springs, Resort shops, and Disney Parks have such cute items for purchase? You could rearrange your wardrobe with Disney duds or your home with Disney furnishings with all the great merchandise you find on a Disney vacation. I will never pass up the Joffrey’s Coffee, the newest spirit jersey, or reusable Disney Park bags on vacation; they are just too good!

Trying New Things

Many vacationers can’t say “no” to stepping outside their comfort zone on a Disney trip. For some people, that may mean trying new cuisine at restaurants, while others may brave a roller coaster for the first time. Maybe you are tackling the tallest water slide you have ever faced at Blizzard Beach Disney Water Park.

Other Guests will learn a new skill like surfing, fishing, or boating on the Walt Disney World Property. A Disney vacation is so much more than a theme Park visit.

Learning About the World

Though most people do not think of a vacation as an opportunity to learn, Disney Guests can’t say “no” to learning during their stay at Walt Disney World. With Cast Members to answer questions about the nations represented around EPCOT’s World Showcase, informative classes during the International Food & Wine Festival, and conservation tips and facts at The Animal Kingdom, Guests can learn a lot on vacation.

Making New Friends

The fun, carefree atmosphere at Walt Disney World may just inspire new friendships in children and adults. Whether you meet friends in an attraction wait line, at a kid’s camp, at a festival class, or while relaxing in the pool, Disney fanatics just can’t say “no” to meeting new friends during their Disney travels.

Relaxing in the Resort Pool

With such beautiful Resort pools nearby, it is difficult to turn down a chance to swim at Walt Disney World. Some Guests prefer to beat the midday sun and claim a deck chair early for a morning pool visit, while other Guests take advantage of the midday heat and break for an afternoon swim.

Evening swimming is my personal all-time favorite Disney swimming opportunity; I just can’t say “no” to it. This highly underrated pool time means you won’t get sunburned, and you can relax after a busy day in the Parks.

Mickey Shaped Snacks

Who can pass up Mickey-shaped snacks? Not me! During a Disney vacation, I want every bit of magical Mickey food I can get my hands on. We cannot say “no” to Mickey Premium Bars, Mickey Candy Apples, Mickey Pretzels, and of course, Mickey Waffles!

Spending a Lazy Day on the Property

Taking in the sights and sounds of Walt Disney World Park is really fun. However, spending a more relaxing day on the Walt Disney World Property is a great idea that I just can’t turn down.

Whether the day is composed of pool time, Resort browsing via Disney transportation, shopping, resting, or dining, a lazy day on the property is hard to beat! Bonus points, you save money by skipping the cost of a Park ticket!

Enjoying Disney Transportation

Passing up the chance to ride Disney transportation is something I can’t say “no” to. The convenience of letting Disney do the driving is unmatched. I will gladly wait in line for a Disney Park bus instead of moving my car, navigating the property, and doing it all again at the end of a late Park day.

Disney transportation engineers are incredible. The transportation options are numerous between Disney Buses, the iconic monorail, the newest transportation option, the Disney Skyliner, and the beautiful boats that cross the property!

Naming the best thing about a Disney World vacation is tough! There are so many incredible attractions, delicious dining options, and new experiences to choose from. We can however, name the things that we won’t miss on a Disney vacay. What are the things you just can’t say “no” to at Walt Disney World Parks?

About Katie Chapman

Hey There! I am a Georgia native with a passion for writing, traveling, cooking, decorating, pugs and of course all things Disney. Growing up in South Georgia just a few hours from Walt Disney World made for a magical childhood. Some of my best memories were made on Main Street U.S.A. with my sister watching SpectroMagic nighttime parade or beside my grandparents, parents and extended family at Chef Mickey’s celebrating on a family vacation. Epcot was my favorite park from a young age and I credit it with my interest in and love for international travel. As a kid I loved meeting characters and watching films around World Showcase and could spend hours exploring each of the countries in Epcot. These days, my husband and I get away to explore a new country whenever we can and even incorporate trips to The Disney Store and Disney Parks around the world in our travels. One of our travel goals is to visit every Disney Park in the world. I love writing about Disney restaurants, park tips, Disney outfit inspiration and Disney history. Pocahontas is my favorite Disney Princess (90s kid here!) but Mr. Toad is my spirit animal. When I’m not at Disney I’m reading about park history, watching Disney documentaries and shopping vintage Disney merch for park outfits. I never pass up a reservation to Ohana, an empty seat on Living with the Land or a Violet Sake.
