Thief at Disney: Guests Left Baffled by the Missing Items at Tiki Room

Disneyland guests are upset after discovering that three of the five iconic pineapples surrounding the Rongo God of Agriculture statue outside the Enchanted Tiki Room have been stolen. The pineapples, which have long been a distinctive feature of the beloved attraction’s exterior, are now missing, leaving only two of the original five intact.

A Shocking Discovery

The theft was first noticed by park visitors, who were left surprised and disappointed. These pineapples were part of a larger display honoring Rongo, the Polynesian god of agriculture, and were designed to contribute to the whimsical atmosphere of the Tiki Room. As one guest pointed out:

“Only two of the five pineapples are still at the base of Rongo God of Agriculture outside Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland. The other three have been ripped off… They’re def not close to ripe and up close you can see the stem on this one was snapped off. The other two were clearly ripped off though.”

The theft of the pineapples has raised concerns among guests and Disney fans alike about the treatment of the park’s cherished, often overlooked details. For many, these small elements are what make Disneyland’s charm so unique, and the loss of even minor pieces like these can feel significant.

Guests Express Frustration

While Disney has not officially commented on the removal of the pineapples, this is not the first time small items from around the park have gone missing. The theft serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting the artistry and craftsmanship that make Disneyland so special, and the impact such actions can have on the overall guest experience.

The Rongo God of Agriculture statue remains a key feature at the Tiki Room, but with three of the pineapples gone, fans are left wondering whether they’ll be replaced or if the display will be altered. Disney may decide to reinforce security around the statue or even replace the missing pineapples. However, for many, the incident sheds light on a larger issue—the treatment of park property and the impact thefts like these have on the magic of Disneyland.

With the Enchanted Tiki Room continuing to be a favorite spot for visitors, it’s clear that the pineapples, much more than simple decorations, are an important part of the magic that keeps Disneyland’s charm alive.
