One of the most exciting events organized by runDisney is the runDisney Half Marathon. Now, the highly anticipated themes and details about the upcoming 2025 Half Marathon weekend have finally been revealed. From a first look, this weekend is looking to be truly exceptional.

RunDisney Brings the Excitement for Half-Marathon Weekend

Participants of the runDisney Half Marathon not only get to enjoy the thrill of the race but also the opportunity to explore the magic of Disneyland Resort, depending on the race location. Runners often dress up in fun and creative costumes, adding to the festive atmosphere of the event. ‘Star Wars,’ Heroes, Mickey, and More!

This year, the magic of the Disneyland® Half Marathon Weekend, presented by HONDA, is scheduled to take place from January 30 to February 2, 2025. This enchanting event brings together avid runners and Disney enthusiasts in a unique celebration of fitness, fun, and all things Disney.

This race is set to include some incredible themes that are unique to the runDisney reputation. Here is what Disney announced this morning:

“Come lace up and choose your adventure as you run through Disneyland Resort and the surrounding Anaheim area during themed races including a heroic 5K, a Star Wars™ 10K, a Mickey Mouse and Friends half marathon and even a Dumbo challenge. Plus discover Kids Races, in-Park yoga and more.”

Some of these themes are incredibly unique, such as “Heroic Adventures,” “A Galaxy of Adventure,” “Adventure is Out There,” and the Safari-Mickey-themed “Adventures with Friends.” Fans will be delighted to experience such an assortment of entertainment.

General registration for the event is set to open on June 18 at 7:00 am PT. If you are a Club runDisney Gold or Platinum member, the registration will begin on June 11, 2024. In addition to a once-in-a-lifetime experience, winners will receive a medal, a t-shirt, a race bib, and other exciting merchandise included in their package.
