The Most Quotable Disney Character Isn’t Who You Think It Is

There are hundreds of lovable characters within the Walt Disney Company’s archive of hit movies. Your favorite may be Captain Jack Sparrow for his dry and quirky wit, Robin Williams’ outlandish Genie, Finding Nemo’s Pixar seagulls, or any one of Lucasfilm’s Star Wars characters! But while there are many memorable Disney quotes, the most quotable Disney character will surprise you.

But once you read why, you’ll totally be on board!

So without further ado, the most quotable Disney character is……Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz from the Disney Channel series Phineas and Ferb!

Dr. D is the main Disney villain of the show and is a lovable, bumbling, evil scientist. He constantly hatches elaborate, absurd schemes to take over the Tri-State Area (love that he manages his expectations, by the way) but is always somehow thwarted by Phineas and Ferb. Doofenshmirtz has a distinctive voice that adds to his quotability, as well as a tragic backstory and complex personality.

So why, you ask, is Dr. Doofenshmirtz so quotable? Allow me to explain.

1 – He has the same shower thoughts as us.

“Wow, water. It’s like drinking wet air.”

2 – He’s totally self-aware.

“Wow…if I had a nickel for every time I was doomed by a puppet, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice, right?”

3 – He’s not afraid to tell it to you straight.

“There’s no beard like 19th-century beard, Perry the Platypus.”

4 – He’s introspective.

“You know what I never understood? Genies. They tell you to wish for anything you want, and then they add some terrible twist, like you wish to jump high, so he turns you into a frog. What? Why? Who gains from this? The genie? Where’s the benefit?”

5 – He has the answers to the questions we’ve been asking.

“For generations, philosophers have asked, ”If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it. Does it make a sound?” The answer, by the way, obviously, is, of course, it does. I mean, duh, right? Philosophers. Get a job, thinky-boy!”

I know, I know. “Ohana means family” and “To infinity and beyond,” but Dr. D is the most quotable Disney character because he’s relatable and provides quotes usable in regular day-to-day activities.
