I know, I know, we aren’t even at Halloween yet, but I think that it is never too early to start thinking about the holidays! Christmas is one of my favorite times of year, and it seems that each year, I start watching Christmas movies and shows earlier and earlier. One of my favorite Christmas franchises to watch is Disney’s The Santa Clause, starring Tim Allen. Each of the three movies — The Santa Clause, The Santa Clause 2, and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause is fantastic in its own way.
So, you can imagine my excitement when Disney announced that Tim Allen and Elizabeth Mitchell would be returning for a new Disney+ series called The Santa Clauses! The series will begin airing on Disney+ on November 16 and will tell Santa’s story as he tries to search for his replacement, since he wants to retire.
Now, we know the story that the show will tell, and we know some of the people who will be in it (including Peyton Manning!). We’ve also been able to watch a teaser trailer. But now, we are just about 3 weeks away from the premiere and Disney has released an all-new trailer. Watch it below!

If you don’t know too much about this fun, new series, here is some more information on it for you.
Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s suddenly starting to lose his Santa magic, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world, especially his two kids who have grown up at the North Pole. With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement Santa while preparing his family for a new adventure in a life south of the pole.
The Santa Clauses will begin airing on Disney+ on Wednesday, November 16, and will have a 2 episode premiere! From there, a new episode will launch every Wednesday. The series will star Tim Allen as Santa Claus (AKA Scott Calvin), Elizabeth Mitchell as Mrs. Claus (AKA Carol Calvin), Kal Penn as Simon Choski, Austin Kane as Buddy, and Elizabeth Allen Dick as Sandra.
So whip out your sleigh bells, hang the stockings, and practice your best “Merry Christmas! Ho Ho Ho!”.
