A brand-new musical spectacular is about to land at Disneyland Resort!
If you’re a fan of both Marvel superheroes and musical theatre, then you’ll be delighted to hear about ‘Rogers: The Musical Disneyland.’ This spectacular musical production is a tribute to the timeless hero Steve Rogers, a.k.a Captain America. It’s a fun and entertaining show that celebrates the legacy of this beloved superhero and proves to be an excellent addition to one Disney Park.
‘Rogers: The Musical Disneyland’ is set to debut at the Hyperion Theater in Disneyland California Adventure Park in just a couple of days. With its catchy songs, vivid costumes, and eye-catching sets (including a time travel booth), this musical production is a crowd favorite. The musical is a combination of brilliant choreography, dazzling special effects, and a cast of talented actors who bring the characters to life.
Behind the Scenes of a Disney Musical
Yesterday, Marvel fans were treated to a unique, behind-the-scenes look at what this incredible show will be like.
KC Wilkerson, the Principal Media Designer for Disney Live Entertainment at the Disneyland Resort, gave a backstage tour of the process of building Rogers The Musical. He explains that this project, which was initially a part of the Marvel Studios and Disney series Hawkeye, which stars Jeremy Renner, blew up and became highly requested by fans. Eventually, Disney decided that this show needed to be made and played at a Disney Park.
As far as musicals go, this production is as full-fledged and high-quality as they come. Even though the run time is just 30 minutes, the show is absolutely going to be at a Broadway caliber.
Guests Are in for a Treat Starting June 30
The show will take place in the stunning Hyperion Theatre. This massive theatre will begin hosting audience members starting on its opening day on June 30th, 2023. The show will perform numerous times a day on most days of the week for a limited time. Be sure to check the Disneyland app for more information on specific show times.
