Quite an irritating situation played out at a Disney Park earlier today.
Visiting a Disney Park takes a lot of time, money, and effort to accomplish. Most people plan their Disney trips months or even years in advance. When everything about a trip has fallen into place, the worst thing that can happen is not being allowed to enter the Park.
Unfortunately, that became a reality for Magic Key pass holders trying to enter the Parks today.
System Malfunction at Disney
For many fans, being an Annual Passholder is the perfect way to visit the Parks as soon as possible. It grants them the privilege of visiting Disneyland Resort’s beloved Disneyland Park and Disney’s California Adventure Park basically whenever they please. Purchasing a Magic Key has not been an option for the past few years because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the Magic Key passes went on sale once more. Magic Key holders can choose from four unique pass levels, including the Imagine Key, Enchant Key, Believe Key, and Inspire Key. Each level has different block-out dates, prices, and perks, such as merchandise discounts, parking benefits, and access to the water parks.

Guest Recounts Situation at Disneyland Park
Due to a system malfunction, Magic Key Pass holders were not allowed into Disneyland Park today, June 9, 2023. A Guest has explained the situation, saying;
“System seems to be down atm, they’re not letting anyone with an annual pass scan. Only 1-4 day single tickets are working. Some have been waiting an hour at this point!”
Fans were understandably very upset with this situation. When you are paying large sums of money to be a Magic Key holder, you expect to be able to use your pass. Disney fans know that every second in the Parks is valuable, and losing over an hour of time in the Parks is crucial.
The poster followed up later, saying;
“EDIT: System “came” back on a little after posting, but it is super buggy. It doesn’t recognize you are in the park when you try to make a DAS time, guest relations as able to fix this issue but still kinda random and inconvenient. Hope the rest of the day goes well.”
Hopefully, this situation is sorted out and will not be an issue for the rest of the week.
